A question I’m often asked is: what kind of tasks can a VA help with?
The remit of individual tasks a VA can assist with is very broad but the types of work we take on essentially boil down to 3 things:
- Or The tasks you don’t have time for
- The stuff you’re not good at
- Jobs you hate
Start by doing an honest appraisal of your workload.
What are you genuinely struggling to find time to do? Email box stuffed to bursting? Filing needs sorting? Not got around to researching the online event platform for your next seminar? Outsource it.
Which aspects of your admin are you not so good at? Do your PowerPoint presentations look stale and tired? Is proofreading articles or training documents not your strong point? Outsource it.
What do you loathe doing? Does updating website content bore you? Is the thought of arranging meetings filling you with dread? Are you losing sleep over refreshing your client onboarding process? Outsource it.
You can see that once you break down your workload by ‘theme’ rather than by task it becomes so much easier to identify what a VA can take off your hands.
