WHAT IS A VIRTUAL ASSISTANT?
A virtual assistant (or VA) is someone who provides support services to other businesses, usually remotely, i.e. from their own office, rather than on-site with the business. The services virtual assistants provide are wide-ranging and very varied, from traditional PA and secretarial services, to social media management, technical services, event management, lifestyle management and almost anything else you can think of!
WHAT KIND OF VA ARE YOU?
I support solo business owners who have become overwhelmed with the day-to-day admin and need help implementing or streamlining processes. This includes traditional PA and admin services, for example diary management, creating templates, managing emails, creating presentations etc. I also provide training event co-ordination for coaches. Depending on the level of support you need you may want my full business support package, help with specific areas of admin or you might want a bite size taster before committing.
HOW DO I KNOW IF YOU ARE THE RIGHT VA FOR ME?
Before working with a new client I offer a no-obligation, free-of-charge discovery session. This is typically a 30-minute call or face-to-face meeting where we can get to know each other and I can find out what problems you are facing in your business. We also explore our ways of working and chat about how we could work together.
WHAT WILL THIS COST ME?
HOW WILL YOUR SERVICE SOLVE MY PROBLEMS?
By taking on the tasks that are taking your focus away from your business and allowing you to get on with those tasks that will enable you to achieve your goals.
CAN I AFFORD A VA?
The question you should be asking is can you afford not to have a VA? What is one hour of your time worth to your business? If it’s more than your VA’s hourly rate then surely hiring a VA is a no-brainer. An added advantage of employing a VA is that because we are experts in our fields, we can complete those pesky admin tasks much more quickly than you can.
HOW WILL IT WORK?
Depending on the nature of the tasks you need to delegate, most of the work will be completed remotely. I use a variety of different methods to communicate and work with clients, including email, online to-do lists and project management tools and electronic filing systems. The methods used differ from client to client, based on the tasks that need completing and their preferred ways of working.
WHY DO YOU CHARGE THOSE RATES?
Many people question a VA’s rates. However you need to take into consideration that when you pay a VA you are only paying for the work that gets done. You aren’t paying for holiday, sickness, national insurance, tea breaks, loo breaks or for them to surf the net and check Facebook! You are getting years of experience, a passion for what they do, a consistently high standard of work, and their complete focus on your business during those hours. In short, you are getting great value for money.
